POSITION SUMMARY:  Assists the Activity Director in providing a diversified activity program for all residents. Maintains records, transports residents to and from activities. Performs varied clerical and departmental maintenance functions.  This position is 32 hours per week. This position is benefit eligible.

KNOWLEDGE AND ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric
    residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in providing activity programs.
  2. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary for proving activities for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro & dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable.
  3. Attends all mandatory in-services by the employees’ anniversary date.
  4. Acts appropriately under the direction of the Activities Director and acts as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
  5. Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in unit/shift assignments to meet resident and family needs.
  6. Communicates and observes the Corporate Compliance Program effectively and complies with Code of Conduct when performing work functions.
SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Possesses recreational generalist background or a minimum of two (2) years full-time or equivalent part-
  2. Time paid work experience in a health care setting.
  3. Possesses a valid drivers’ license.
  4. Is flexible to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
  5. Is able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  6. Presents a positive image of the facility.
  7. Must meet health assessment requirements, including one-step annually TB skin test.
  8. Must be cable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable
    accommodations.
  9. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
