Job Description: Cash Applications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for posting complex checks, credit cards and EFT batch transactions
Daily Posting
  • Checks and electronic payments
  • Downloading and importing explanation of benefits from external websites
  • Check request
  • Resolution of unapplied payments and general lender transactions 
Daily Activities
  • Calling and emailing insurance companies, customers and other organizations to request explanation of benefits or confirming details of payments
  • Putting notes on residents accounts
  • Reconcile against bank deposits and researches missing deposits
  • Prepares and maintains the Excel cash logs for all bank deposits and Point Click Care are listed accordingly and balanced
  • Accurately preparing deposit folders
  • Communicate and answer inquiries from internal and external customers via phone and email
Month End Close
  • Responsible for monthly reconciliations for bank activity, Point Click Care and general ledger
  • Adhere to month end closing and reporting processes, which may require a change in work schedule
  • Ensure that closing won’t delay the accountants and the accounts receivable teams
Qualification Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, associate’s degree or two or more years’ experience Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • All other duties as assigned
